ABOUT THIS WEB PAGE
This web page provides high-level data products from the CGRO BATSE instrument which were generated by the BATSE Instrument Team at the Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) using the Earth occultation technique. The background-subtracted count rates (counts/second) for the source in all 16 channels for continuous (CONT) data have been converted into photon fluxes (photons /cm^2/second).A series of photon flux data are concatenated to form light curves shown on this page. You can see the light curve in each viewing period by clicking the source name. The photon fluxes in ASCII format are also available. If you are interested in downloading the FITS-formatted data file from which these ASCII lists and plots were generated, you can "ftp" it by clicking on "FITS" under the viewing period in TJD (Truncated Julian Days).
You can download a postscript version of "GUIDE TO BATSE EARTH OCCULTATION DATA PRODUCTS AT THE COSSC", written by Dr. B.A. Harmon and Dr. C.A. Wilson at MSFC, which describes the details of the BATSE occultation FITS data files.
