FTOOLS for BATSE Occultation Data
Three FTOOLS for BATSE occultation data have been developed at the GRO Science Support Center over the past two years:bodgetvp - This utility obtains CGRO viewing period information from a BATSE occultation data FITS file (NHIS type). Such files usually cover many CGRO viewing periods. This FTOOL is included in the current FTOOLS release.
bod2pha - This utility converts a BATSE occultation data FITS file (NHIS type) into PHA FITS files in XSPEC format. This FTOOL is included in the current FTOOLS release.
bod2rmf - This utility creates RMF FITS files in XSPEC format for BATSE occultation data (NHIS type). This FTOOL is included in the current FTOOLS release.
bodfluxhis - This utility constructs a light curve from BATSE occultation data (NHIS type), for user specified time intervals. This FTOOL will be included in the next FTOOLS release.
groview - This utility is a tool to search the CGRO viewing period file for a given source location, and return BATSE, COMPTEL and EGRET viewing angles for user selected range of viewing periods. This FTOOL will be included in the next FTOOLS release.
